3 months, 3 long months at sea. This is the final leg of the journey for the magnificent merchant ship the Adventure. We are completing the final leg of the famous triangle trade route to earn some much needed cash for the ship’s shareholders. The captain of the Adventure is a good man. He treats his crewmembers better than most merchant captains. With him commanding the ship, I do not doubt that we will encounter any trouble along this journey.

Today we encountered the most unusual thing. A ship was seen on the horizon! We pulled the Adventure alongside the ship and hailed the crew of the ship except no one responded. After a few moments, we boarded the ship and discovered that the ship was abandoned. No crewmembers or sign of any kind of battle was seen on board the ship. While investigating, our cabin boy, Markus, found a massive chest filled with gold and diamonds. The captain told us to sink the ship and bring the chest aboard the Adventure and continue on our way back to the British Empire a little bit richer. The contents of the chest would be divided by the captain. The sailors were not particularly happy with this fact but they kept their anger in check for now.
September 21, 1713 Tensions over the splitting of the treasure reached a peak this afternoon. Multiple sailors demanded larger shares of the treasure. The captain had them flogged. It was a move that I did not expect from him since he seemed to kind to his crewmembers before. I’m starting to question if we should just dump the treasure overboard and continue on with our journey peacefully.
From this point on the writing becomes incoherent… It seems like four days after the flogging of some of the sailors, a mutiny occurred on board the Adventure. The captain and the ship’s only navigator were killed. During the mutiny, Robinson switched sides and joined the mutineers and slid his blade through his own captain.

Without a navigator or anyone else with good enough navigational skills, we have no hopes of reaching England. I can only hope that we will sight land soon. The crew members don’t care and are busy determining shares of the loot.

After the shares were determined, the crewmembers spilled the contents of the chest aboard the ship and we uncovered something very unexpected. Beneath all of the gold and diamonds from the chest was a large red velvet crown. I walked towards the crown and held it in my hands. The moment I touched the crown, I felt it vibrate and heard thunder in the distance. I dropped the crown and rushed to catalog this event. I must go and help the crew prepare the ship against this coming storm now.
